Shipping container

Shipping containers are sealed cuboid structures that are integral part of both sea and road transport. Widely used as warehouses and for transporting a variety of loads. Shipping containers not only provide protection from damage, but also effectively insulate against adverse weather conditions. The most common container sizes on the container market are: 10', 20', 40' and 45'.

The design of the shipping containers is based on a solid container frame supported by steel bases, corner posts and longitudinal and transverse beams. Walls and roofs are joined to the frame, and doors are secured with bolts and rubber seals. The container is also equipped with corners to facilitate loading, as well as cargo securing to prevent uncontrolled movement, ensuring the safety of the goods. The robust container floor can withstand heavy loads.

Shipping containers are a reliable solution for the transport and storage of a wide variety of cargo, thanks to the convenience of their handling and the appropriate security of the cargo.

Types of shipping containers

STANDARD CONTAINERS

Standard shipping containers are a common solution for sea and road transport, offering versatile options for storing and transporting goods. They are available in standard sizes, usually with lengths of 6 and 12 metres (20 and 40 feet respectively). They are characterised by their universal dimensions, which makes it easier to consolidate loads and achieve optimum payloads. Choosing standard containers is often an advantageous solution, allowing transport costs to be optimised. The ability to consolidate cargo contributes to maximum efficiency and reduced freight costs.

HIGH CUBE RAISED CONTAINERS

High Cube containers are ideal for transporting and storing goods, offering an extra 30cm of vertical space. This makes High Cube containers great for easier loading and manoeuvring of goods inside. They are particularly useful for transporting taller goods that require more space.

In addition, there is an extended version, the Pallet Wide containers, available in 40' and 45' lengths. These are some of the roomiest containers available on the market, providing extra width for easier stacking of pallets of goods.
